A Veteran's Mind

Veterans Helping Veterans

Welcome to our website

A Veteran's Mind was founded as a non-profit company in an effort to give back to those who have served to protect our country. All items are provided through donations. Veterans are chosen monthly to receive the donated items by submitting their story through the "Contact Us" tab.

About Us

We are a husband and wife team that has been married for 26+ years. We served in the United States Navy as Hospital Corpsman, and met while serving the Marines on Camp Pendleton. We both have visible and nonvisible disabilities that are service-connected. Our love for our country carries over to the men and women that signed the dotted line and were willing to give their life for the freedom of our country. Our minds were conditioned to uphold structure and discipline and oftentimes struggled to ask for support. We founded A Veteran's Mind as a non-profit company in an effort to give back to those heroes who have served to protect our country.

Our Current Focus

A Veteran's Mind is a small non-profit company. All donations are currently coming from our own personal donations to the men and women who have served our country and are receiving, or have received, a service animal. Each month we will select a Veteran in need to provide them with their service animal's initial collar, leash, service vest, and a bag of dog food. These quality items can be costly, and some Veterans do not have the funds to purchase them on their own. We want to help alleviate this burden so that you may focus on your relationship with your new companion.
Submit your story to us through the "Contact Us" tab. In your story, please tell us which branch of service you served in, a little bit about you, and information about your service animal (breed, age, name, neck size, and chest size).

Future Donations

As mentioned before, A Veteran's Mind was created to help Veterans in need. Funding for the current donations is coming from us, the owners of the company, and Veterans ourselves. We hope to have this non-profit company eventually expand with the help of outside donations so that we can help more Veterans with more services. We are aware of multiple services and organizations that can help Veterans with more than the support we currently offer and are willing to share those resources with those that contact us. Please continue to check back with our website to see updates.
